Description: Largest mango processor and banana meristem producer in India requested through a private equity group for Dole, because of its global understanding of retail food product merchandising and post-harvesting technology to invest into a company to become a 30-50% owner.  Proposal eventually was not approved by Itochu Corporation.

Product: The Future Group Supply Chain Joint Venture with Dole Asia Fresh

Description: The Future Group proposed a link-up to build proper produce receiving facilities with proper food safety and proper post-harvesting technology/assistance throughout India. The Future Group would handle all distribution to their modern retail stores, which were growing. Worked with The Future Group Chairman and the CEO of Foods. The consultant’s developed study proposed in 5-7 years, $500m revenues with $75m EBITDA and a $20m capital investment. Proposal eventually was not approved by Itochu Corp.
